“Oh good. The glory boy is home.” Eric rolled his eyes. “My life is complete.”

Nancy turned her head to look in the same direction “Where?”

Switching his weight to his other elbow, he lifted his arm from the wooden railing and pointed toward the gazebo. “Over there, talking to Mr. Wilson.”

She tilted her head down to look over her sunglasses. “Oh yeah. Man, he’s still hot.”

Eric replaced his elbow on the railing and sunk his chin back on his palm. “Yes. He is.”

She chuckled. “Too bad he’s not gay, huh?” Continue reading Glory Boy – Part 1

Changes

I’ve been absolutely horrid at keeping up lately. I acknowledge and I apologize.

Looks like I’m going to have to make a few adjustments on my FaceBook account. The page should remain but my “person” account will probably be going away pretty soon. I’m looking into it.

Also looks like the Fiction with Friction site is now down and likely not to come back up. So I’ve decided to re-post my freebies that were there. I’ll probably start that this weekend and space them out a bit. So those of you who haven’t read them can enjoy them and those of you who have read them can enjoy them again (I hope!)

On the writing front, I’m working on something but it’s slow going. Real Life is not conducive to writing, I’m afraid, but I’m trying to get back into the habit!

“Excuse me.”

Rom looked up to see an adorable young man standing on the other side of the table. Which wasn’t odd. Rom was sitting with two other attractive men and had a beautiful lady seated on his lap. But this man stood out, first because Rom didn’t think he knew him, and second because he had an electronic tablet cradled in one arm and a red-feathered stylus in the other. He wore a distracted almost-frown that didn’t do a thing for his pointy face, and all of his what looked to be sumptuous lavender hair was pulled back into a severe and somewhat unattractive tail. His brown jacket was lined with speckled fur and buttoned so high and tight under his chin that Rom wondered he could breathe. Behind thin, wire-rimmed glasses, he stared steadily at Rom and didn’t smile or pout, didn’t do any number of the things designed to get—and keep—Rom’s attention.

Which might be why he got Rom’s attention. Continue reading EXCERPT – Reindeer Games 3: Naughty and Nice

BentCon – November 7-9 in Burbank

BentConInkslingers

If you’re in the Burbank area November 7-9, check out Bent Con. I’ll be there doing some panels and in the seller’s room at some point. And, as you can see, there’ll be some pretty awesome authors with me. Belinda McBride, Cherie Noel, Ginn Hale, James Buchanan, Jordan Hawk, LE Franks, Lou Harper, Lou Sylvre, Marshall Thornton, Morticia Knight, Piper Vaughn, Poppy Dennison, Rhys Ford, Verona Keyes and ZA Maxfield.

As for my panels, on Friday the 7th I’ll be doing one at 1:00 “Going from Reader to Writer” and another at 5:00 “Writing Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Supernatural”. Then on Saturday, at 2:00 “Writing POVs” and at 3:00 “Avoiding Burnout (Writing as a Career)”.

GRL Retreat

Due to leave tomorrow morning to attend the GRL Retreat in Chicago. Looking forward to it.

For those of you who’ll be there and want to talk to me, do so! I know there have been people in the past who’ve been hesitant about talking to me. I’m usually pretty friendly at these things and I’m happy to sign stuff.

I’ll have some Heaven Sent flyers with me to sign and I’ll try and keep some bookmarks on hand too. And I bought a whole box of purple Sharpies so I should have a pen.

Oh, and if you don’t know what I look like, my hair is grape purple this year and I wear glasses. I don’t think there’ll be anyone else — or not many — who match the description.
