Isn’t she pretty? Thank you once again to Anne Cain for her gorgeous artwork!

It’s official, I lied
Didn’t mean to lie. Really I didn’t. When I wrote all the posts saying that Lance’s book would be the next Indigo Knights book, I meant it. I was quite sure that Lance’s story was next because I knew that one. I didn’t account for Danny. See, Mr. Champion has been silent about his story. I had no idea who his other was or how he’d fit in, which was why I planned Danny for last. Sure, it bugged me that I hadn’t really introduced Lance in book one. I mentioned his name, yes, but no true meet and greet. Sure, Danny was the choice for the next book since we already know him. But I can’t write a book when I don’t know both heros yet, right?
Yeah. Well. Last week, I met Cash. Danny’s quite taken with Cash. To be honest, I’m quite taken with Cash.
So… I’m about to go edit the website to change book 2 from Lance to Champion. Sorry for the confusion, folks.
Toys for Good Girls is available now at Loose Id
And we’re done
Woohoo! Doin’ the happy dance here because I just sent a readable draft of Leashed 4: Tangled Leashes to my beta readers. And I even think I’m happy with it.
So excuse me while I celebrate… *cues the music*
And, yes, for those who have and haven’t noticed, I’ve queued the second Indigo Knights book for my next project. Haven’t started yet, but will do so probably toward the end of November.
Tangled Leashes – Leashed 4 gets a title
And I title’s got to mean I’ve made headway, yes? Yes! I think I’ve finally — FINALLY — figured this puppy out and might even be close to finishing. Certainly in the next few weeks.
New title is Tangled Leashes and, boy, is it descriptive of the story. Lots going on and it’s the details now that’s slowing me down. Making sure I’ve got the flippin’ magic right. Geez, it’s my world, you’d think it’d be easier for me. Ha!
So that’s my small update. I’ll keep you posted.
Edit the past – FWF

Update
So, I sucked keeping in touch in March. Pretty much in February too. I’m trying to be better for April. But before the month ends, here’s a quick low down.
Reverb was sent to my editor today. She estimates that it should be out sometime in May. I’m going to try and get an excerpt and blurb up in the next week or so.
I’m going to be at the RT Convention the weekend of April 6-10. I won’t be there everyday but I’m on a panel at 2:45 on Friday and I’ll signing books on Saturday. I’ll should have Heaven Sent (1st print, so Heaven and Purgatory) and Dark Elves: Taken (so Taken and Mastered). Never done the signing before so it should be an adventure.
My next project is another Santa’s elves story. Yes, I know I promised Leashed 4 but Toys for Good Girls (working title) should be short and sweet and I need something light after the hell Reverb put me through. If you can’t tell by the title, this Santa’s elves story will be m/f. Bok’s story. Sorry, m/m fans but I do write girls and I miss it.
Then I’ll be diving into Leashed 4. I’m pretty sure. Meg and the boys have been talking and I think my having abandoned them at the beginning of last year scared them. Let’s hope they’re talking.
Some people have been asking about images. I have done some for 2011 but I’ve been waiting until I get my new gallery up and running. I really hate how my images are on the site now and I’m trying to find a way to fix it. Unfortunately, that means uploading all the images again and there was no import. I think I’m almost done. So maybe April will bring some new visual goodies as well.
Ummm… what else? Can’t think of anything. Questions?
Finished Reverb Rough Draft
I don’t usually post about these things, but this particular story has been kicking my ass so I’m going to hoot about it.
Just finished the first rough draft for Reverb. WOOOT!
This is my longest to date. At present, it’s just over 80,000 words. I believe it’s my longest story to date.
My work’s not done, of course. Now I’ve got to go back and polish it up. This one’s going to take a lot of polish, I know, because it took me most of the book to really figure out what was happening. Ah, the joys of writing by the seat of my pants. But I know the story now so that’s a relief. Now I need to make all the nit-picky details go with it.
Not sure when it’ll be out. Not sure when it can fit into the MLR Press release schedule. My own fault for that, not them. I was scared to commit until I had the story down. But it should be out sometime this year.
I’ll try and get at least a blurb on the site sometime in March. Until then, I can tell you the guys on the cover are Marlowe — taller one — and Nick.
